3B9    - John, G3LZQ will be active as 3B9WR from Rodrigues Island  (AF-017)

between 3 March and  2  April,  including  an  entry  in  the  RSGB

Commonwealth Contest (13-14 March).  Activity  will  be  on  160-10

metres, with a focus on the low bands. John plans to be on the  air

daily during his sunrise and sunsets (01.45 UTC and 13.45 UTC)  and

5R     - Michele, IK5ZUI will be active  as  5R8UI  from  Nosy  Be  (AF-057)

starting in early March possibly for  one  year.  QSL  via  IZ8CCW.

6Y     - Chad, WE9V will be active as 6Y9V from  Jamaica  (NA-097)  on  4-14

March, including an entry in the  ARRL  DX  SSB  Contest.  Activity

will be on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and  RTTY,  with  an  emphasis  on

9M2    - Special station 9M4STE will be active on  10,  15,  20,  40  and  6

metres SSB and CW from  from  Tanjung  Piai  (West  Malaysia),  the

southernmost point of mainland Asia, from 16 UTC on 26 February  to

CX     - CX3AY, CX5FF and CX9FD will  be  active  as  CX2FAA  from  Farallon

Island (SA-057) and lighthouse on 26-28  February.  QSL  direct  to

Grupo de DX Bahia Blanca, P.O.Box 709, 8000  Bahia  Blanca,  Buenos

FS     - Dennis, KT8X will be active as FS/KT8X from St. Martin (NA-105)  on

5-12 March. He will operate CW, SSB and  RTTY  holiday  style,  and

will be QRV for the ARRL DX SSB Contest. QSL via LoTW. [TNX NG3K]

 

GM     - MM0DGR/p will be operating from the Cragbank Woods National  Nature

Reserve on 27 February. The main goal of this trip is  to  activate

a new WFF nature reserve and  to  participate  in  the  EPC  WW  DX

Contest (www.epcwwdx.srars.org) on BPSK125 mode. There  will  be  a

possibility to operate SSB and CW on 40, 30, 20 and 15m  for  short

HA     - Laci/HA0HW, Toni/HA0LG, Tomi/HA4DX and Geza/HA4XG  will  be  active

as HG0WFF from  Ferto-Hansag  National  Park  on  5-8  March.  They

expect to operate CW and SSB on 80-10  metres  with  two  stations.

I      - Special stations II0IDP (QSL via IS0SDX), II0IDR (QSL via  IZ0FVD),

II1ICS (QSL via I1SAF), II1IGG (QSL  via  I2AZ),  II3ICZ  (QSL  via

IW3IE), II7ICT (QSL via IZ7EDQ), II8ICN (QSL  via  IK8JPV),  II9ICF

(QSL via IT9MRM) and IQ0FM/IGU (QSL via  IW0HP)-  all  representing

former coast radio stations of the Italian Navy -  will  be  active

on 6-21 March for the  4th  Italian  Navy  Coastal  Radio  Stations

LU     - The Grupo de DX Bahia Blanca (LU3DXG)is expected to  be  active  as

LU7DSY/W  from  Rasa  Island  (SA-065)  and  lighthouse  on   26-28

February. QSL via operator's instructions.

 

LY    -  Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Act of the Re-Establishment

of  the  State  of  Lithuania (11 March 1990), eleven LY20 and LY11

stations will  be  active during March and April. LY11BY and LY20NX

will  be  QRV  until  31  March,  while  the others (LY11A, LY11GV,

LY11MM, LY11QT, LY20AM, LY20INDP, LY20J, LY20PSK and LY20W) will be

LZ     - LZ1GC, LZ1ZF and LZ2JR will operate CW and SSB as LZ44WFF from  the

Chamdja Nature Reserve on  27-28  February.  QSL  via  LZ1ZF.  [TNX

P4     - John, KK9A will be active as  P40A  from  Aruba  (SA-036)  from  28

February to 14 March. He will operate CW and SSB on 160-10  metres,

including an entry in the ARRL DX SSB  Contest.  Tim,  WD9DZV  will

join him on 7-14 March and will operate mostly CW as P40D. QSL  for

PA     - Tommy, ON3TD will be active as PD/ON3TD/p from  Schouwen  Duiveland

(EU-146) on 5-8 March. He plans to operate digital modes  on  40-20

metres during his evening hours,  "when  the  rest  of  the  family

PY     - Look for PT7BI/p and PT7ZT/p to be active  from  Mundau  Lighthouse

T32    - Steve, 9M6DXX has joined the team of operators who will  be  active

from four T32 IOTA new ones in March-April [425DXN 980]. They  plan

to have four stations from two  operating  sites  on  each  island.

Four different callsigns will be  in  use:  T32MI  (Malden  Island,

OC-279), T32SI (Starbuck Island, OC-280), T32CI  (Caroline  Island,

OC-281) and T32VI (Vostok Island, OC-282). QSL via SM6CAS. The  web

V6     - According to www.winlink.org/userPositions, Mike, KM9D (V63MY)  and

Jan KF4TUG (V63TO) aboard  the  "Don  Henry"  have  been  lying  to

anchor in the lagoon of Oroluk Atoll (OC-260), Micronesia since  25

February. This IOTA group was activated only once, and just  for  a

few hours, back in 2003 (V60A/p and V60Z/p).

 

W      - Peter, VE3IKV will be active as W4/VG3RA  from  St.  Simons  Island

(NA-058) on 6-7 March and from Key West  (NA-062)  on  8-13  March,

with a side trip to the Dry Tortugas (NA-079) on 11-12  March.  QSL

YI     - W4VDW and KI4VEU will be active as YI9VDW and YI9VEU from  Baghdad,

Iraq starting around late February or early  March.  They  plan  to

operate on 160-10 metres and to  activate  an  EchoLink  node.  QSL

YV     - Homero (YV4DHS), Roberto (YV4AR), Eduardo (YY6CHE),  Dina  (YY4DEA)

will be active as YW6IP  from  Piritu  Afuera  Island  (SA-090)  on

26-28  February,  for  the  South  American  Lighthouses    Weekend

(www.grupodxbb.com.ar/faros2010.htm). They  plan  to  operate  SSB,

BPSK 31 and CW on 80-10 metres. QSL via operator's instructions.

 

PACIFIC TRIP ---> Tim, NL8F will be active (requested call VK9COF) from  the Cocos  (Keeling) Islands (OC-003) on 3-10 March and as E51COF from Rarotonga (OC-013),  South Cook Islands on 20-30 March. He will be QRV on 80-10 metres with a vertical antenna. QSLs via K8NA. [TNX NG3K]
