International Radio DX Group - 11 meter section

14IR/AT082 and 19IR04/EU-146 have been active during IR-DX Island Weekend 2010/WWRO Island festival.

We hope to have more members active in next editions.

The famous IR-DX ISLAND Weekend 2010 takes place between 5th and 06th of June 2010.

All group members and independent operators are invited to join this large IOTA expeditions and mobile activations from any IOTA (Island On The Air) or IWI (Inland Water Island) island.

Together with the WWRO Island Festival, which takes place at the same time, we expect the maybe largest island party ever on 11 meter.

The aim is to promote activity from as many islands as possible during one weekend in June 2010. 

RULES

• The festival is open to any 11m band operator!
• Dates 2010: June 5th 00:00 UTC - June 6th 23:59 UTC (48 hours)
• Classifications:

1. Top 3 Hunters (highest number of islands contacted)
2. Top 3 Teams (highest number of contacts -without dupes)

• Frequency: 11m Band (Please obey your local issued frequencies and modes)
• Scoring: The final score is calculated from the total amount of contacts.
• Callsigns: Use your preferred callsign plus indicating your IOTA reference, regional island reference, island abbreviation e.g. 26IR/EU-001, 14IR/AT-026, 26IR001/NH-014. Please send us online the IOTA application form to get a confirmation of your callsign. • QSL Management: IR-DX QSL ONLINE SERVICE (prefered) or IR-DX HQ, P.O.Box 48, 91333 Hemhofen, Germany. Standard Contribution 2US$, 1 IRCC (new 1,50 €) or 1 IRC (valid). All participants will be awarded by a certificate to download from the IR-DX webpage after the event.
• All participating teams are asked to send their complete logbooks and proofs of their activations no later than August 1st 2010 to IR-DX HQ, P.O.Box 48, 91333 Hemhofen, Germany. Only valid logs received in time will be considered for the final score.

1. QSO data required: callsign, date, time, r/s, mode, frequency
2. Proofs: Please provide sufficient and clear documents of your activity. Try to collect pictures, video-clips, scanned ferry tickets, photo which shows your location on a GPS or any other material to proof your activity from the islands. A team without proofs will be automatically disqualified and considered fake.
